Apple
Apples have been grown across Europe and Central Asia for thousands of years, and dried apple pieces are the backbone of countless fruit tea blends. Sea buckthorn is a thorny shrub that grows along coasts and mountain slopes across Europe and Asia, from the Baltic to the Himalayas. Its bright orange berries have a tangy, tropical flavor reminiscent of passion fruit, pineapple and citrus, with a pleasantly sour edge. In tea blends it adds zing and a warm golden color to fruit teas, green tea and rooibos, and pairs well with orange, ginger, apple and honey. Preparation:
Use 1-2 TSP or 1 BAG per 200ml of water at 95°C and steep for 3-5 min.
I added this to our last order to try something new and it did not disappoint. They say that scent affects taste and that seems to be the case here, this blend smells / tastes divine. We use a cold-brew method and do find the flavor a bit weak even after 24 hours. After some experimentation, we figured out a 3:1 ratio of Tropical Harvest and Orange Lemonade works really well.
